GEOlayers alternative without After Effects
GEOlayers is the go-to plugin for animated maps, but it needs Adobe After Effects and a desktop. If you only want animated borders, fronts and arrows for YouTube or Shorts, here are lighter routes.
Why people look for an alternative
- It runs inside After Effects, so you need a desktop and an Adobe subscription before the plugin itself.
- There's a real learning curve for a single 60-second Short.
- Most mapping creators today edit on phones.
